Nessa and Jonathan’s day proved to be a gorgeous wedding – if not very cold!
Taking place in December, between Christmas and New Year’s Eve, the day certainly tested everyone’s resilience.
Their wedding video was shot entirely at Orchardleigh Estate in Somerset, and the cold weather helped produce some great shots; the cold mist rising slowly off the lake in the background for example.
The wedding video also reflects their slightly unorthodox and informal style and their music choices fit this perfectly as well.
Although Orchardleigh is always a favourite wedding venue of ours, it does always provide us with a good helping of challenges, not least was the light at this time of year. Sunset at 4pm and a candlelit interior is never easy. Combined with the cold weather it also meant that all the guests were indoors which always makes it more difficult to remain discreet when space is at a premium.
We’re as happy as Nessa & Jonathan are with the final wedding video and we’re glad to have been able to use the cold and dim lighting to our advantage to produce a very atmospheric and quaint wedding film.
